Week 8 – Bee swarm Asset

Within this animation asset, the idea is that many bees will fly out of the beehive after the player’s character activates the area rejuvenation when the collect pollen from the flower.

Duplication, duplicate special and exporting the bee rig and animation failed. I am unsure how to complete this and am seeking teacher advise since I was not able to find a working research reference that worked.

Another option that I am experimenting with is making a few variations of bee animations along curved paths and giving them to the games designers to position and activate at the same time in the game/Unity.

Animating along a curved path, for some reason did not appear in the Unity.

Instead I followed the animation path, using key frames, of the bee model that was attached to the motion path. In a 400 frame animation I would key frame every 20 frames, if not 10 when necessary.

Upon request from the games designers I added another animation other than the original ‘bees leaving the beehive’. This one included the bees flying around the beehive in circles.
